National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive

Stamp Out HungerAll city residents are asked to place non perishable food items by their mailbox on the second Saturday in May. The items will be collected by Letter Carriers while making their normal mail deliveries. The food collected will be distributed to A.C.E., Jackson House, Ouachita Children’s Youth & Family Services, Potter’s Clay, The Salvation Army and Trinity Church to feed the hungry in our community. Residents can help stamp out hunger in our community by placing food donations by their mailbox on the second Saturday in May. For questions, please call United Way of the Ouachitas, 501.623.2505.

The 2023 goals was reached and exceeded expectations. The totals were all VERY successful! The main office collected 14,000 lbs. of food while the Albert Pike office collected 17,500 lbs. and Hot Springs Village collected 24,000 lbs. of non-perishable food. NALC Food Drive Coordinator, Jared Rodgers, stated that around 55,000 lbs. were collected from our community in total.

Rodgers wanted to say “Thanks to promotions/bags/weather and steady reminder of our fine city/rural carriers, we are very pleased with the outcome and look forward to exceeding that next year."
